NABD and DT

We at Diamond Trikes have had the pleasure of the offering disability modification to Bikes and Trikes for riders of all abilities and requirements and we have been working with the NABD Since 1999.

Whether your need is for an adaption to assist with the transfer of controls from foot to hand, for storage for any mobility equipment or modifying or moving hand controls then Diamond Trikes will be pleased to help you plan and implement your adaption.

The National Association of Bikers with a Disability (NABD) us at Diamond Trikes, a Gold Affiliation with the association, in recognition of our support for the Learner Loaner Scheme in Northern Ireland.

The 125cc learner motorcycle is maintained and up kept by Diamond Trikes.  Diamond Trikes, adapts the motorcycle for each learner rider, depending on their individual disability and then this enables them to get back on the road or to undergo initial training for those wishing to take up motorcycling.

NABD was set up in 1991 by a small group of bikers who refused to accept the idea that disabled people could not ride motorcycles, scooters and trikes.  Since then their membership has grown to over 10,000 people in Great Britain and Ireland.

The NABD also operates a system of financial grants to help disabled riders with the cost of special adaptation work to motorcycles and trikes, necessary to suit their individual needs.  Diamond Trikes is  approved for this purpose and has helped many riders avail of this service, to get them on the road again.

For more information on this service please feel free to contact us or the NABD.   To book this learner bike please the Northern Ireland NABD representative.

Derek and Diamond Trikes are proud to have an Affiliation with The NABD
